An award moment for CKI

I couldn't have asked for a better day to be recognized for the achievements that Customized Kitchen India (CKI) has been able to gather. Yes, CKI has been bestowed with the "Best Commercial Kitchen Equipment Company in Delhi NCR" by IPSA! And that too on my 31stbirthday on 15 October 2016.

This is not only a recognition of the fact that good work gets appreciated, but also that a fairly new company (if I am allowed to say so for a three-year-old organization) is also appraised for the quality of work delivered.

It has been an amazing feeling and congratulations have poured in large numbers. Thank you all. However, I cannot thank enough to my team members and well-wishers, and people and friends who have always supported CKI.

Commercial kitchen equipment segment is not an easy domain to make a mark within a short span, but CKI has proved its mettle among big brands and legacy enterprises that thrive in the Indian market.

Our goal has always been about better service delivery to our customers. It feels great to know that we have been able to do something that could initiate a welcome change in the industry. Now, we are even told that conventional equipment players are trying to up their ante by promising service quality. However, it is not just merely promise that could help them gain respect; a promise needs to be backed by adequate efforts to deliver the promise made. And this is what make CKI stand apart from the competition.

In this respect, I really cherish my association with many companies, industry friends, consultants and others who have been instrumental in providing us with valuable inputs and made us a knowledge-rich organization.

I take this opportunity to raise a toast for not only the success of CKI, but also for those people who have made us reach this far. I hope your wishes and support will continue to drive us to achieve many more milestones ahead.

Commercial kitchen equipment segment never gets its due

Restaurant business is a great employment generator. We came across this slide in one of a noted conference on restaurants. The details astounded Customized Kitchen India (CKI). At the same time, there were questions as well. After all when somebody hears that the restaurant industry employs 1.5 times more employee than the IT–BPO industry in India, it is bound to raise the curiosity quotient. On the other hand, it is estimated that the restaurant industry would indirectly employ 18 million by 2021, which will be more than the population of Sri Lanka. Amazing!

Yet, there is a sense of want for the recognition of the kitchen equipment segment which contribute substantially to not only to the business of restaurant industry but also help generate employment at a level that go unnoticed.

There are many domestic players in India like CKI who are making inroads in providing quality commercial kitchen equipment for the hospitality industry, hospitals, restaurant industrial canteens, corporate office cafeterias, etc. They are also creating opportunities for unskilled labors who tend to find employment in the warehouses and factories where kitchen equipment are manufactured. In fact, they are given ample training to help them sustain not only the job, but an assurance of livelihood and better remuneration prospects.

Then why do the commercial Kitchen equipment manufacturers are not recognized as much as people who are running restaurants? We are yet to come across an acceptable logical answer. However, of late, there has been a rise in the number of exhibitions and awards that are recognizing our contribution to the larger cause of not only many industries but also toward our society.

CKI is happy to note that it is recognized for its good deeds and the progress it has achieved in this segment within a short span of three years. We hope to continue doing good for the larger good of the society. We even won an award! A recognition that we earned. Watch out this space for more details on that.

Commercial Kitchen Equipments - Services and Innovations - Our Way of Business

Customized Kitchen India (CKI) came across an interesting quote recently. It read—
“What people think of me is none of my business”
Is it? Really? We were not sure. Nonetheless, the quote struck a chord with us. However, it is not that CKI believes in it, but the irony that the message carries with it. While it seems perfect for an entrepreneur, it is definitely not for the business of that entrepreneur.

Hence, CKI always believed in establishing something in the commercial kitchen equipment sphere that might be different from others, caring less what others would think of us and our approach. However, we focus on addressing every possible need that our customers expect us to deliver. In today’s challenging times and innovation needs, entrepreneurs need to be innovative with their thoughts, actions, products and services. Agreed that the balance is hard to keep while juggling these four parameters, yet we try to do exactly so to achieve perfection, which should remain the sole aim of an entrepreneur.

Although just three years old, CKI has understood within this short span of time that consistent service can only make a company establish a sound relationship with its customers. Without service excellence success will continue to remain a distant dream. Commercial Kitchen Equipment Manufacturer

Reputation on the other hand is more of a reflection of what people/customers think of you (rather your company) as an entity in the competitive zone. Therefore, to ever think of ‘what people think about you is not your business’ would be a criminal offence if we want to assess the graveness of this mistake.

Recently, Forbes announced its plans to partner with Boston Public Schools and then hosted student mentoring assemblies across greater Boston as part of Forbes’ Service Day on October 19, 2016. Actually, the aim was to inculcate a results-driven mindset among the attendees, courtesy Forbes 30 Under-30 honorees—young superstars and game changers from all over the world, inspiring the next generation of young entrepreneurs (school students) to make a difference.

This shows that people are concerned about the way people would perceive entrepreneurship in the times to come. Today is the day of tomorrows. The present has to be future-driven. And the end result of entrepreneurship has to be holistic in all respect by going beyond the mere profits on the balance sheet.

So let’s be transform together. Let’s innovate. Give us an opportunity to show you kitchen solutions that are future-driven. And take care of what we do. Because what we do would be important what people like you would think of us down the years, which—we believe—should remain a concern for every business.
